You can verify a buyer by checking our their profile. There are a number of verifications available on a profile:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Identity
Identity Check
If you want the most peace of mind that your buyer is legitimate, you can ask them to get an an Identity Check. This report can validate the identity of an individual in seconds.
The report allows you to establish the following:
- Does the identity exist?
- Is the person who they say they are?
- Is there any detrimental information relating to the identity?
The report includes checks across many different sources making it more rigorous than manual ID checking.
The buyer can add get Identity Check from the My Profile page of their account.
